Recurrent Cancer of the Cervix
Recurrent cancer is cancer that has come back after treatment. Cervical cancer can come back either in the pelvis where it began or spread to other areas throughout the body, such as the lungs, liver, lymph nodes, brain and bones.
If the cancer does return, you may be requested to carry out other tests to learn about the extent of the recurrence. These tests and scans are often similar to those done at the time of the original diagnosis.
