Symptoms
In early disease there may be no symptoms hence it is advisable to have regular cervical cancer screening. When symptoms are present they may include:
- Unusual vaginal bleeding, for example irregular vaginal bleeding, heavy irregular menses or bleeding after sex.
- Abnormal vaginal discharge: blood-stained or foul smelling discharge.
- Pain or discomfort during sex
- Pain in the area between the hip bones(pelvis)
- Later in advanced stages it can affect other organs like the bladder and rectum causing constipation and blood in urine
